A White Barn At Lucas Farm Wedding: Rachel & Nick
It’s a beautiful Saturday morning! I’m sitting here eating scrambled eggs (Brian makes the best!), looking forward to some coffee, and it’s quiet…because the kids all slept elsewhere last night. 🙂 Before the noise returns and I leave for my Deep Creek Lake wedding this afternoon, I wanted to share Rachel and Nick’s sweet and stylish wedding at The White Barn at Lucas Farm…
I hadn’t been to the White Barn since it’s first wedding back in 2017 so I was excited to return. And boy, does this place just get better with age! 🙂 In the past two years, owners Brittney and Matt have added a pond, a new outdoor ceremony spot, an expanded cocktail patio, a farmhouse for their couples to stay in, a parking lot, more trees, and there’s probably other things I don’t know about. What a gem of a place we have here in Garrett County!Â
Rachel and Nick are sweet and stylish, which was evident during their engagement session and again on their wedding day. I loved Rachel’s off-the-shoulder, romantic look and Nick’s classic, bow tie style. Paired with the grays and blues of their wedding decor and the chic, elegant atmosphere of the barn and it all just worked so well. And when you add in Rachel and Nick’s kind personalities and friendly smiles, everything really was just so sweet and so stylish.Â
Thanks for having me, Mr. and Mrs. Mazzeo! What a great day you had!
Florals by my friend Trish Yoder of Petal Branch right here in Garrett County!
So many good getting ready shots of this guy!
While the girls continued to get ready, we took all of the groomsmen portraits. It was a windy day, so we kept their jackets buttoned to keep their ties from flying all over…
Now it’s time for the girls! So many good black and white ones of Rachel getting her final beauty touches…
A favorite getting ready moment for me!
Fancy shoes require fancy shoes pictures. 🙂
We opted for a first look inside the barn to avoid the wind…
And Nick and Rachel asked if they could read their vows to each other as part of their first look. They were the first of my couples to do this and it was so sweet. The best part!? Christine captured it all on video, too!
Their vows were printed and framed on the table in the back right. 🙂
I just love the white umbrellas at the ceremony site!
Rachel, Nick, their parents and wedding party all anxiously waited inside the barn while guests arrived outside…
One of my favorite pictures from the day!
Good work on the fake laugh, ladies! 🙂
Black and white favorite…
My mom was fixing Rachel’s windblown dress, so I opted for a close-up bridal portrait to make sure we were keeping things efficient and capturing all we needed, even while things were getting fixed.
We had the most perfect backlighting for portraits!
Showing off the shoes. 🙂
Favorite. 🙂 The black and whites always get me!
Another favorite. I shared this one on Instagram!
Brittney at the White Barn did all the table decor and it was just beautiful!
Cake and goodies by Deep Creek Cakes! Always delicious…always beautiful!
I love being able to capture both flash and natural-light pictures during the first dance…
So much light pouring into this barn!
Some sunset portraits before the glow goes away…
The shoes. 🙂
And of course, party time!
One of my favorite shots I’ve taken of this barn. What a gorgeous venue and a beautiful wedding day for Rachel and Nick!
