Oh Deep Creek weddings,

how I love thee!

Couples & WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY in deep creek, maryland

The non-traditional, #dothingsdifferently, adventurous kinds of weddings get me excited...and inspired!

JFP APPROACH

Whether it's marrying in front of a waterfall, having a "welcome hour" instead of a cocktail hour, or standing in a sea of forest ferns, I'm looking for inspiration to pair with an easy, fun and efficient wedding photography experience. We'll talk on the phone, hopefully do an engagement session, and on the wedding day, we'll be hanging out as friends. That's when the genuine smiles, natural moments in between and feeling comfortable snuggling in front of the camera comes out.

You can get married in so many unique ways here! Whether you want to marry in the forest or have a backyard party with a small group, I can put together a custom photography package for you. Or if you simply don’t know where and how you want to marry, I can share vendor recs and location ides to help you figure your Deep Creek wedding.

With over 360 weddings photographed, I’ve seen a little bit of everything and know how wedding days usually flow. It's about way more than pretty pictures. Managing people and a timeline are also part of it. Having fun and feeling comfortable in your day are important as well so I hope you're marrying the way you want to.

If your planning has led you to any of the above, the inspiration will flow for photos. Things like Light, moments in between and the beautiful, unique settings can be fully seen and are represented in the photos on my site.

The Possibilities...

Browse the blog to see!

just in case you're not engaged yet...

We can talk Deep Creek proposal possibilities too!
The proposal-on-a-boat photo takes you there!

But keep scrolling if you are engaged...

It never fails - if there's a gazebo close by someone always asks if we'll take pictures there. No. While I have a love for the retro and nostalgic things, gazebos are just far too outdated and they offer no creative inspiration, IMO.

If there is a waterfall, stream, forest or gorgeous, glowing evening light nearby, yes, we can absolutely take pictures there. Or I may even suggest you go enjoy the scene and I'll capture from afar.

GIANT BONUS points if you want to stand in the waterfall or stream, maybe even for your ceremony.

I know, Saturdays are the usual day for marrying. But I miss far too much with family and friends because of Saturday weddings. So I invite you to think outside the box when it comes to location, size and day of your wedding...

However, if you're going to stand in a stream for your ceremony on a Saturday, I can probably be convinced.

Just say no to gazebos and Saturdays

"Jessica has photographed our large family, engagement photos, my bachelorette (as a surprise appearance!) and our Deep Creek intimate wedding! Not only does she take incredible pictures, but she makes sure that everyone feels so comfortable and happy throughout the whole experience. She also is the BEST person to have close by on your wedding day, not just for capturing moments but for keeping the bride in the most calm state possible. I breathed a breath of fresh air the second she arrived!! I could not recommend Jessica Fike Photography more!!"

"she is the best!"

Big Fun

Big Reputation

- ABBY AND TOMMY

Jessica was the first vendor we booked. In fact, we didn't solidify our wedding date until we knew she was free! I can't even begin to say how much we loved getting to work with her, and how seamless she made the whole picture-taking experience. When we got our sneak peek of some of our photos, we were blown away! Tommy can attest to the number of times I have looked back through the pictures and said, "But look at this one..." again and again. We can't recommend Jessica highly enough!

"WE WERE BLOWN AWAy!"
