I had this idea back in winter and had to wait months until the warmth arrived to actually put it in place. Thanks to the B Family, our beautiful lake, and of course the warmth, I can now start offering BOATING SESSIONS! 

Standing at the local parks and in pretty backyards is just fine for portrait sessions, but with this big, beautiful lake at the heart of Garrett County and the reason so many people visit our corner of Maryland each year, boating sessions seem a little bit like a no-brainer! Sunshine, swimsuits, sunglasses, splashing, waterskiing, wake boarding, bundling up in colorful towels after a jump in the water with your friends and family…it’s picture-perfect!

This kind of session would be especially appropriate for families I’ve photographed before. Let’s do something different…let’s have a little bit of fun…let’s capture the action this time around! 

So if you’ve got a boat or will be renting one, let’s do a boating session together! My August calendar still has room and I’d love to spend some of those days capturing your family having fun on the boat!

A special thanks to the B Family for inviting me onto their family boat for the first session! Little Keegan (who isn’t yet three years old) water-skied and I was so impressed! He brought so many smiles to my face that evening! His mom also wake-boarded and his dad braved the waters for some barefoot skiing. This family is definitely #boatinggoals 🙂
