Deep Creek Lake Photographer
Elle and Jordan’s Mountain State Brewing Co + Deep Creek Lake engagement session took place on an unexpected warm and sunny Saturday just over a week ago. When I asked them what kinds of things they like to do together, visiting breweries was high on their list. Jordan grew up visiting Deep Creek often and knows Mountain State (and their yummy wood fire pizzas!) well, so when they suggested it for their pictures, I knew it would fitting for them as a couple…and it would be something different to do for an engagement session!
Elle and Jordan grabbed a couple of beers, placed their pizza order and we got to work! The Mountain State staff graciously offered for us to come in an hour before opening so we could have the place to ourselves. We hung out at the bar, tried a couple of different booths and eventually enjoyed a pizza together. I don’t usually get to sit down and have a meal with my couples as part of their engagement session, so this was such a special treat. Engagement sessions allow me to get to know my couples well but actually sitting down and sharing conversation about work, life and the upcoming wedding took things to a whole new level. And I so very much enjoyed my time with these guys!
We shared plenty of laughs, good conversation and good food at Mountain State, but we couldn’t have a Deep Creek session without actually visiting the lake! Special thanks to Bill’s Marine for giving us permission to use their dock and launch area in McHenry for part two of the session. But first up, more from Mountain State! This one is definitely a favorite… 🙂
We put her ring on the pizza. 🙂
And on top of the beer glasses!
Then we ventured outside into the sunshine and made this parking lot greenery look good…
One of my favorites! Love Elle’s smile here. 🙂
And a little bit of dock time to round out the session…
Elle and Jordan, thanks for a wonderful Saturday! I absolutely loved continuing to get to you know! Thanks so much for hanging out! I’ll see you in September! 🙂
