It’s time for one of my favorite posts of the year…the BEST OF WEDDINGS! Even though it took me hours to go back through the thousands of pictures from my 2017 collections and choose favorites, it was such a wonderful reminder of all the awesome couples, beautiful details and photography adventures I was blessed to encounter last year. 

27 weddings and four styled shoots in total. Three elopements, three weddings of 20 people or less, a wedding in a stream, a couple of weddings in the rain, a handful along the lake, and plenty in our Garrett County barn venues. A wedding in a tornado with a power outage, and a wedding relocated because of flooding. A barefoot bride, a dog named Spock, a bride speaking in Mandarin, a pink wedding gown, and a purple one, too. Two buried bottles of Bourbon, homegrown florals, yellow bridges, and so much twirling! AND I got to sign as a witness at a wedding, too! (Gosh darnit I just love this job! 🙂 )

I see lots of in-between moments being captured. Grandmas taking pictures of their grandson as ring bearer, a bride sharing a high-five with the flower girl, mom holding close while dancing with her son, sister of the groom powerfully catching the bouquet, siblings sharing laughs during family portraits. So much emotion and real-ness represented in these pictures. And of course, plenty of glowy light for sunset portraits and that snuggly romance that we do so much of here at JFP. 

Last but most definitely not least, I see so many big, bright smiles…the smiles of all my wonderful clients who make this possible. It’s hard to put into words how much excitement and thanks and gratitude I have for all of you. You put your trust in me for one of the biggest days of your lives and in the end, we’re able to make things happen, have fun while doing it and become friends throughout the experience! My couples, my friends…you’re awesome sauce! Please, let’s do it again sometime! (Vendor friends who asked me to be a part of your styled shoots, this includes you, too! THANK YOU for having me!)

There are so many favorites, so while I do apologize for the amount of time you may spend browsing through this post, I also encourage you to grab a cup of a coffee and a warm blanket and snuggle in. 🙂
