WVU Engagement Session: Sarah & Bryan

Well friends, it’s here. The official start of my busy wedding season starts Saturday. Weekends spent at beautiful venues, pretty little details to ooh and ahh over, trees and fields to frolic through to find the best light, candid and emotional moments to capture, cakes and candy and sweets to sneak at the end of the night (#ilovecandy, #wedoitforthecake, ha!), and newlywed couples to laugh and smile with while having fun taking pictures. It’s going to be a lot of hard work, but it’ll all be totally worth it. I can’t wait. 🙂

First up in the busy season is Sarah and Bryan! I met them back in January for their engagement session on WVU’s downtown campus, which is where they met. It was holiday break so the campus was quiet, and a dusting of snow was left behind from the night before. It was cold that morning, but we were able to move quickly and captured plenty of sweet moments. 🙂

Sarah and Bryan are getting married at the beautiful, wonderful, charming Barn at Fallingwater near Ohiopyle, PA and it’s going to be such a great day! They are two very kind people, there’s sunshine and warmth in the forecast and I just know the venue will be beautiful!

Cheers to the wedding season, friends! Make sure you return to the blog over the next six months for PLENTY of pretty weddings and awesome couples!

Oh the warmth of the sunshine light… 🙂

I love that I was able to spark some sweet laughs and smiles between the two of them. 🙂

The dusting of snow was a bit magical!

A quick change into WVU colors…appropriate!

I love Sarah’s hair and smile. Both are going to be shining brightly when she’s in her wedding attire!

This is one of my favorites from the session…

Snuggles and laughs are two of my favorite things during engagement sessions. Keeps my couples close and allows their natural happiness to come through!

Scenes and thoughts from deep creek

Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.

I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!

We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

"Jessica is amazing!"

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!

" the best decision."
