get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
Today’s blog post is all about Violet and Amelia! These babies were born in February and March, and both live in our neighboring state of West Virginia. They both also have some great parents. When I can sit down in between takes and really connect with mom and/or dad during a session, it’s an extra special treat. I usually find myself sharing conversation with dad most because mom needs to nurse in the next room. We talk about work, where we came from, what’s going on in the area…a real variety of adult topics! ๐ And with mom, it’s always easy to chat and make a connection. We talk about our babies and being moms! Amy in particular was so lovely to talk with. She’s a hard-working mama who enjoys her career and is okay with having others watch her kiddos. When I met her for Violet’s session, I was going through a little rough patch as a mom and small business owner. Trying to keep a balance while doing the best you can for everyone is tough, and hearing Amy’s thoughts was encouraging (thanks, Amy!). ๐ Amy has got one sweet family of five and it was an honor to capture this special time in their lives…
We started things off with the twins! Here’s big brother and big sister looking at some of their baby pictures with mom…
The whole family!
It was important that I give the twins proper attention during my time at their house even though it was a newborn session for their sister. They enjoyed showing me their room and getting some pictures taken by themselves…
I love these next few!
A favorite for sure! ๐
Then we took some pictures in Violet’s room…
So much joy in this family picture. ๐
Pretty big sister, Bethany!
I love big brother Josh and his Twizzler in this picture. ๐
Another session favorite!
Time to snuggle up in front of the camera!!
Just the three kiddos…
Precious memories captured. ๐
Sisters. ๐
Mama and her girls!
Black and white portraits of mom and baby are always appropriate!

Now it’s time for Amelia’s session! I not only got to hang out with her parents, but her grandparents, too! Dad Andrew, Amelia’s grandparents and myself sat in the living room for a good while and talked about all kinds of things! Skechers shoes, shopping in Uniontown, PA, and pulling pranks on co-workers. It’s so nice to know that I can do more than just take pictures when I hang out with my clients. ๐
Don’t you just love the centerpiece of Amelia’s room!?! Made by her mama!
There is so much light and so much soft pink in this session…I love it!
I love these next few…Mama and baby making a connection. ๐
Daddy’s turn…
Then grandpa came in! Andrew and his daughter, Andrew’s dad and his granddaughter…what a special time! Andrew and Melissa invited Andrew’s parents to be part of the session because they had helped so much during Amelia’s birth and in the weeks leading up to the session. Such a treat for everyone involved, and such a neat idea!
ย
Big favorite on the right!
Already a grandpa’s girl. ๐
We gave grandma some alone time with Amelia…
I love this picture. ๐
ย
I really like these family portraits, too!
Amelia started to get a little fussy, so Melissa decided to snuggle up with her on the couch…one of her favorite spots to rest!
ย
A BIG thank you to both families for inviting me into your homes and allowing me to capture this special time! And thanks for making me feel so welcomed with all our great conversations! I hope the little babes are doing wonderfully! ๐
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it moreโฆand plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
Iโm not sure Iโm starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesdayโฆ

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
