Jill and Charlie were my first official Morgantown, WV couple. I moved to the area last September and didn’t book a local wedding until January. I had to be extra patient and trust that things would happen. And they did. After finding out that Jill was a friend of a friend in town, I was excited that the power of word of mouth was helping out! It did wonders for me in the Hagerstown area so I’m counting on it here in Morgantown! Anyways…

I met Jill and Charlie in February for a chilly engagement session. I was super pumped when I found out they were WVU fans and wanted to get some pictures taken at the football stadium. I was anxious to put them in front of the camera again for their wedding last Friday because of how well they did during their engagement session. And once again, they delivered! They were both incredibly relaxed and knew how to bring out the charm for their special day.

We created a curtain of dresses!

Jill’s mom is a graphic designer and made all the paper goods for her big day! When I got the invitation in the mail, I was sure Jill had gotten them for an expensive paper boutique. But when I found out they actually came from her mom, I was completely impressed! I saved the invitation and used it in some detail shots during the getting ready moments. It made a nice backdrop for the rings…

Jill’s talented aunt made all her centerpieces for the reception! Her family should start a wedding business! I definitely encouraged them to do so after seeing her mom and aunt’s work. 🙂

Check out this centerpiece! It was at Jill and Charlie’s table and was absolutely perfect! Two little lovebirds sitting in a cage, and on the floor of the cage was a musical sheet from the song “From This Moment”…how cool is that!?!
