8×8 Coffee Table Book

I recently decided it was time to spruce up my product offerings and samples, so I ordered an 8×8 press-printed, hard cover book of Emily and Matt’s engagement session from BayPhoto. I was offering a 10×8 black hard cover book, but I needed something a little more updated and a little more jazzy. I think the 8×8 size and custom photo cover do the trick!

I call this a “coffee table book” because I think it’s pretty appropriate for the coffee table in a living room. When chatting with clients and their parents about albums, they usually want something that isn’t super huge and will be easy to display. Obviously a big, pretty flush mount leather album is a great choice, but for those looking for something a little more casual and a little more, well, little, the new 8×8 coffee table book WITH the custom photo cover is a grand choice!

So let me introduce the newest member of the JFP family, the new and improved, coffee table book! And because Emily and Matt’s engagement session was one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITES, I added a few of the original pictures throughout the post. 🙂

Even though it’s a press-printed book, it still has the capability of displaying panoramic pages, like the one below. It’s a hinged binding so it’s a near seamless spread with minimal gutter space.

The photo cover is wrapped the whole way around. Definitely helps complete the look!

Thin and easy to display. Like I said, great for the coffee table. 🙂

P.S. Today’s date is 8/8 and this is an 8×8 book! What a coincidence! 🙂

Scenes and thoughts from deep creek

Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.

I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!

We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

"Jessica is amazing!"

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!

" the best decision."
