get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
My 2012 wedding season officially came to an end with Sarah and Jared’s wedding in November. While the warmer temps surprised our region during the weekends before and after November 24th, the season showed it’s true colors on their wedding day. It was cold, windy and we even had some snow flurries! While I was hoping for a “white wedding” for the sake of pictures (typical photog brain!), we didn’t see any accumulation. But Sarah and Jared still rocked their pictures and braved the cold November air THREE TIMES so we could capture everything we wanted.
Enjoy their chilly, purple and gray, cookie-filled wedding day! ๐
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…I love a good black and white grandma picture! ๐
I love that the snow flurries appeared in these next few…
A little groom peek at the approaching ceremony time…
Sarah’s final moments before walking down the aisle…
Thank goodness the Alumni Center has big windows and areas of lots of natural light so we didn’t have to take all fun and formals outside! I’m pretty sure Sarah and Jared were thankful for this, too! It was COLD!
I don’t think they realized how cute they can be! ๐
Favorite!!!
WVU Alum! ๐
A little inside joke pose requested by the bride and groom. I love it when my couples want to spice things up! ๐
There were TONS of cookies at the reception! I heard about these cookies weeks before the wedding and Sarah’s grandma continued to tell me all about them as the day unfolded. Many of Sarah and Jared’s friends and family spent so much time preparing the cookie display and boy did it pay off! I even got to bring some home. ๐
I love these two black and white first dance pictures…
A happy dad! ๐
Sarah, I’m so glad we met at the bridal show last January and were able to work together for your big day! The two of you were soooo easy to work with and I just love the way your genuine love and happiness for each other is displayed in your portraits. ENJOY your pictures and make sure you give me a holler the next time you guys need something special captured! ๐
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it moreโฆand plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
Iโm not sure Iโm starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesdayโฆ

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
