get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
Fun fact: I went to school with Sara’s brother Billy for 13 straight years…from kindergarten to twelfth grade! Now I’m taking Sara’s wedding pictures…tomorrow! So cool how things work out. 🙂
I met with Sara and Rob over the summer for their engagement session. Sara confessed that she was totally taking advantage of being a bride and loving the wedding planning process. She also confessed that was she was even more excited to marry Rob after seeing their engagement pictures. They had her a little emotional and she couldn’t believe that was really her in the pictures. Huge compliment to me as their photog, but also encouraged my excitement for their wedding day. Not only do I already know Sara’s family (especially Billy!), but I know just how excited Sara and Rob are, and how important their photography is to them. It might be a little cold in Pittsburgh tomorrow, but I’m pretty sure we’re going to have a good time regardless. Just like we did during their engagement session (even though it was warm and summer-y then)…
Apparently these two always find a reason to drink champagne and celebrate. 🙂
Is Sara’s look captivating to anyone else!?! Maybe she’ll flash me that smirk tomorrow on the wedding day, too. 😉
A session favorite for me! Always have to give the camera a good smile!
Another favorite! Cuteness.
Beautiful sunset sunlight…
We were at Sara’s dad’s cabin in the mountains for the session…so naturally, s’mores were appropriate! Sara and Rob were also considering a s’mores treat for their wedding at the time, which is awesome foreshadowing. I hope there will be s’mores tomorrow! 🙂
I’ll see Sara, Rob, their family and friends tomorrow! Happy wedding day, you two!!
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
