That may be a bit extreme but it's sort of how I feel about our fall leaves in Garrett County, MD. Every year they come and unfortunately every year they go. They're so colorful and beautiful and I don't want to see them go! Until then, I'll keep making my rounds and chasing these leaves down because I can't get enough!

This lady and I have been dreaming up something new and big! LOOK AT THIS COLOR!!! 🥰🤩 The parking lot at @dutchs_at_silvertree at the lake is always BURSTING WITH COLOR this time of year and it pained me to think I wouldn’t be able to take pictures with them. So I asked @stephnotstacie if she and Brendan would be up for a super spontaneous, super quick session so these colors could be captured! Stephanie and Brendan love Dutch’s, they live next door and are marrying there next December, so it seemed incredibly appropriate to make this happen with them. THANK YOU GUYS!!! Confession: I hesitate talking about how we should keep doing small weddings. I had a big wedding, tons of my clients have had big weddings…and they were and can be so awesome! But gosh darn it, there is so much value in doing things differently, doing things smaller! When I hung out with Logan just before he and Caitlin read their vows to each other (swipe to see, it was such a sweet time during their big day 🥰), we talked about how awesome their day was going to be. 18 people total (I made 19! 🤩) at the family’s lake house and that meant he and Caitlin would actually get to talk with and enjoy everyone at their wedding. Like actually talk and not rush from table to table. They also wouldn’t need to stick to a rushed timeline because 200 guests wouldn’t be waiting on them and they weren’t at the mercy of any venue operations or restrictions. And because of all that, I think they’re actually going to remember so much of their wedding day! Not to mention a wedding day free of so much stress! Phew! It’s one of the reasons I love these small Deep Creek weddings so much. They’re stripped away of the traditional wedding scene and left with such a unique experience.
