Well this post is LONG overdue. I took these pictures back in November and really thought I had shared them already! As I was going through sessions and weddings and making sure everything had been blogged, I noticed I completely forgot about little Livia! AH! How could I have done that?? Maybe it’s because I don’t keep a very good blogging calendar!? There’s something to start in the new year…a blogging calendar! Even if it’s a simple list, I clearly need to do it. Anyways…
Here’s Miss Livia and her one-year portraits! I photographed this little girl before she arrived with Beth and Josh’s maternity session in the fall of 2012 (still one of my all-time faves). Then I photographed her again when she was almost two weeks old. I also met up with she and her parents to capture her baby growth over the summer at the six-month point. And finally, most recently, mom Beth invited me to capture Livia’s one-year portraits. I say it often, but I’ll say it again…it’s such a HUGE compliment and honor to photograph families and couples more than once. I’m so thankful that I have such reliable, returning clients who trust and want me to capture their special life moments! So thanks Beth, Josh and Livia! I really love working with you guys and cannot wait to capture more as time goes by. You’ve got a cute little baby on your hands. 🙂
We started the session in one of the spots where my mom took some of Beth and Josh’s wedding pictures even years ago! And it was chilly, so outdoor pictures didn’t last long…
Then we headed to their home to capture the first-birthday portraits! I loved being back in Livia’s room. It’s so light, airy and pretty!
Livia loves this little nook in her room, so it was hard to keep her away. The light wasn’t ideal, but this little one deserved some accommodation. 🙂

I think this is when mom and dad whipped out the “We Buy Any Car” video to keep Livia’s attention…

Happy belated first birthday, Livia! It’s been an honor and joy watching you grow this past year! I hope we’ll meet again soon for more pictures! 🙂

Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
