get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
Get ready! This wedding is likely unlike any other wedding you’ve seen before! It was a show-stopping stunner full of unique, personal style that was such a beautifully contrasting complement to the forest scene, but also such a perfect complement to the fall season we were in. And everything was mostly black!Â
Jayne and Eric are such gems! Their “Deep Creek Story” is mostly centered around Swallow Falls State Park. They came over from Baltimore, MD to visit years ago, fell in love with this forest and decided it would be the right spot for their wedding day. And what’s maybe the most spectacular thing is that they weren’t afraid to throw their own personal style all over this gorgeous day! Like I said, a wedding unlike any other wedding you’ve seen before.
Jayne and Eric are incredibly sweet, very friendly and they are so very much in love. Hanging out in the forest with them was such a joy! It was an easy wedding day with artful, thoughtful people and it’s an event that I will never forget. Get ready for all the show-stopping stunning-ness…
Their day started at one of the cutest, coziest, oldest cabins at the lake…and this picture below of Jayne prepping her hair (with so many of her tattoos visible) against the green carpet is one of my favorites from the day!
And inside this cute cabin was also one of the cutest dogs! Jayne and Eric’s little guy…
Another favorite picture for me!
So many unique details in one spread! I loved their invitation suite…that Jayne designed on her own!
Jayne looked absolutely stunning in all of her black pieces!
A first look down by the water…
The way she looks at him. 🙂
The stone pavilion at Swallow Falls State Park is so beautiful! It’s located right next to the trail entrance and alongside the forest, and really offers a beautiful space for a smaller wedding reception. Jayne and Eric had both their ceremony and reception inside the pavilion…
Their head table was beautiful! Many of the pieces came from Jayne and Eric’s home…
First dance…
Jayne’s dress was meant to twirl!
And now for our frolicking through the forest…
Loved getting both mood and laughs out of Jayne!
On top of Tolliver Falls! The smallest of the three waterfalls at Swallow Falls State Park…
Aaahhh so much goodness! Jayne and Eric, what an awesome wedding day! I LOVED working with you and I thank you so much for inviting me in! Let’s take more pictures together in the future…and maybe we can do it at Swallow Falls when it’s not cold, ha! 🙂
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
