Casey and Chad’s wedding was like a “breath of fresh air” for me and my wedding experiences. Everything was held outside against a beautiful mountain backdrop. There were homegrown flowers, luscious cupcakes, plenty of drinks, an awesome s’mores bar, a bonfire, and a big “back deck” for the party. It wasn’t overly formal, but a little more formal than a local backyard gathering. It was “in between” fancy and casual, and it was uniquely perfect. After visiting the reception site first and getting a feel for the overall atmosphere, I was very excited for the day to start!
Casey and Chad are my “snowy portrait couple.” After their fall engagement session got rained out last year, they decided to hold out for snow. We happened upon on a beautiful snowy day and their portraits turned out beautifully! And the two of them did wonderfully in front of the camera. A sweet couple who did well in front of the camera and then presented a laid-back yet thoughtful wedding…a dream combination for a photog! Here’s their beautiful Black Bear Resort wedding…

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me!
