Do you want to know how Alyssa and DJ found me? It’s a cool little story, so I’ll tell ya. ๐
A few months ago, I commented on Shady Elms Farm‘s Facebook wall after they shared some beautiful pictures from one of their weddings. I was so impressed with what their venue had to offer, so I just had to share some feedback! In my comment, I mentioned that I’d love to shoot a wedding at the farm someday…and guess who saw that comment? Alyssa! She messaged me on Facebook shortly after and we started discussing her wedding photography. Not only was she super nice and confident that I was the right photographer for her, she was also having her reception at Shady Elms Farm! YAY! I’m finally going to get to shoot there! Oh the power of Facebook and the comments we make. ๐
I met Alyssa and DJ on a chilly Saturday morning at Shady Elms Farm. It may have only been 40 degrees and there may have been a few light showers here and there, but that didn’t bother us. We had a gorgeous venue and I had a wonderful couple to work with! This couldn’t have been a more perfect session to end the crazy-busy October calendar. There were lots of favorites from this session y’all…ENJOY!

It was October 27th, so I feared we wouldn’t have a ton of pretty leaves to work with at the farm. Have no fear, colorful fall was here!

I love the light we captured in the next few…it was a super overcast morning, which made for perfect light diffusion!
I saw these trees a few miles before I got to the farm and Alyssa and DJ happily followed me so we could capture these beautiful fall colors as well! I love when I find beautiful photo spots along the road. ๐

Alyssa and DJ, thanks for sticking with your gut and making things happen so we can work together for your big day! You guys did an amazing job during your session and I’m almost overwhelmed with the number of beautiful pictures we captured together. Can you imagine what we’ll get on the wedding day!?! Oh it’s going to be FABULOUS! I’m pretty excited for next July…are you!?! Thanks again, you two! ๐

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
