Alicia + Chad: Fall Engagement Session, Connellsville, PA Wedding Photographer

Alicia and I go waayyy back! Like all the way back to high school! Well, it may have been college for me, but still…we go back at least six years or so. I can’t remember exactly when, but we worked at the Pleasant Valley Country Club together. We were part of the “cabana girls” group where we served food and drink to the pool goers in the summer. Alicia and I didn’t see each other after that summer so it’s neat that her wedding is bringing us back together!

Alicia is a girl that knows what we she wants. She contacted me early in the wedding planning process for her October 2013 wedding. We met this past February on a snowy, cold Saturday morning. I remember almost turning around a few times because the roads weren’t in the best condition, but I really wanted to make it to our meeting! I was excited to reunite with Alicia and excited to get down to business…with a girl that knows what she wants. 🙂

We shot their engagement session on what was probably one of the prettiest fall weekends of October. It was decently warm, the sun was shining brightly and the leaves had just hit their peak. This session was full of smiles, laughs, doggy barks, outfit changes, and like I said, sunshine and colorful leaves! I’m pretty excited to capture them again next fall season, too. Hopefully we’ll have another beautiful day for their BIG day! ENJOY!!!

Doug the Pug joined the fun!

A fall engagement session isn’t complete without some leaf-throwing!

A session favorite for me. 🙂

A little bit of playfulness…

These next few are some of my faves from this fall season! I just love all the leaves and colors!

Another session fave for me! This wasn’t where we wanted Doug to stand, but it ended up working out perfectly!

We caught the entire sunset…can’t you just tell by the glowing light??

A little Steeler action…of course!!!

I asked them to wave their Terrible Towels AND kiss at the same time! They said it was much harder than it looks! Try it sometime. 😉

Check this out!! Alicia had her nail artist paint their wedding date on her nails! Super cool!!!

We ended the session with these pretty colors along the road…

How about these woods?? Found ’em along the road! I’m telling you, some of the prettiest photo locations can be found just by driving around!

Thanks for a great session, Alicia and Chad! I know I made you pose a million times, but we had such good light and such a wonderful location, I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Besides, I know how important pictures are to Alicia and she told me to keep snapping away! I’ll see you guys next October for another fabulous time of taking pictures! Happy wedding planning in the meantime. 🙂

Scenes and thoughts from deep creek

Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.

I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!

We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

"Jessica is amazing!"

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!

" the best decision."
