I did a session with one of my neighbors last week and because it involved their almost-two year old, and because they literally live 20 steps away, we decided to keep things simple and just meet in my backyard to take the pictures. Before the neighbors arrived, though, I was able to capture Ally outside in the evening light…just playing around, being a 2.5 year old little girl. It has been a while since I’ve done a “session” with her, so these pictures were very much needed. I think some of them are going to look lovely as decoration in our new home. What do you think? 😉

I first asked Ally to twirl around in her dress (Special note: the dress is from my good friends and Bethany and Samantha; Ally wore it for New Year’s Eve this past year; she likes “sparklies” right now and randomly asked to wear it!)…

Then I asked her to put her hands on her hips and pose…

After I told her that her armpits weren’t her hips, she figured out the right pose. 🙂

And then we got these pictures and I love them! I think an Ally fan-favorite is on the left. 🙂

Some of the next few are the ones I think would look lovely as wall decor in our new home…

Then Ally got out her play camera and started taking pictures! It’s so cute watching her pretend…

The camera plays a few songs…she gets pretty excited and sings along. 🙂

Oh my heavens! This might need to be hung in the new JFP office! TRUE PHOTOGRAPHER!!!

Or maybe this one would look good hung in the office!?! 😉

She took pictures of her Bubble Guppy toy…such a cute little stinker! Ahh…I loved spending these 15 minutes with my growing little girl. It was so fun to watch her play and pretend…and I loved that she didn’t run from the camera! She’s going to be such a fun big sister…I cannot wait for February! 🙂
