get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
Hey hey hey! Tomorrow is the first day of spring! Bring on the sunshine and warmth! 🙂 When Ally reminded me the other day that the official start of spring was upon us, I immediately started thinking about pretty blooms, green grass and WEDDINGS! Taylor and Chris are my first big wedding of the season and their big day is less than a month away! When I first met them last year, we twirled by the mountainside and laid in a field of zinnia flowers. It wasn’t springtime during their session, but it certainly feels like spring…especially with Taylor’s fabulous, delicate, floral-embroidered dress…
When Taylor stepped out of the car with that dress my eyes went wide! Long, flowy and covered in flowers!? I knew it was going to be especially lovely for pictures. Thanks for wearing this dress, Taylor! And thank you both for laying in a field of flowers! I’ll see you guys on April 13th!
We visited Sang Hill Farms at the end of the zinnia season, but they were still beautiful and made a lovely location for the first part of their session…
Taylor has such a great smile!
AND an excellent model face, too! 🙂
The whole, big field just covered in flowers!
Yep, snuggling while laying in the flower field. Thanks, guys. 🙂
Favorite!
We couldn’t not do some twirling with that dress!
Some colorful ring shots!!!
Taylor and Chris also wanted to include the lake in their session and McHenry Cove gave us the backdrop we needed…
Ah, their soft smiles! This next series is a favorite for sure!
We ventured out onto the docks for some colorful boat pictures…
More twirling! 🙂
One more outfit change for Taylor and a quick drive to overlook the cove. Shout out to my friend Smiley at The Lodges at Sunset Village (great lodging option if you’re visiting Deep Creek!) for making this spot happen! A wonderful view of the lake, mountain and it’s a great sunset spot, too!
We were just a little early for the sunset, but thanks to my camera, we could fake it a little. 🙂
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
