get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
Upon arriving at Bluemont Vineyard, I was told that there were many thought-out details by Taylor and Alec’s wedding coordinator, and boy was she right! The venue was naturally beautiful and rustic, so not much was needed to be done there, but the little details and the elements of elegance really made the place shine. From the super tiny place card clips to the mostly white linens, the unique wishes table to the striped drinking straws, Taylor and her team really did a great job at keeping the details a priority…and of course I loved photographing them!
It was sunny and warm for Taylor and Alec’s big day, which meant we got to take full advantage of the vineyard and stable grounds and take all pictures outside! Taylor was a beautiful bride, Alec was a happy groom and I was a delighted photographer. 🙂 Enjoy my favorites from their wedding day!
The Bluemont stables have a GORGEOUS room for the bride and her gals to get ready in, which made a great backdrop for the starter pictures…
The guys arrived in style and Alec was ready to roll! I love grooms with energy and a big smile. 🙂
GORGEOUS bridal room, right!?!
Showin’ off the pink shoes!
Alec’s mom had a special request for a fun picture, so we made it happen! Anything for mama. 🙂
There are some great model looks going on right here…
I’m a big fan of the “shoe shot”, especially when there’s pretty shoes and pretty flowers involved…
Had to throw in a picture of Maggie and Bobby (on the right). I did their wedding in September 2010 and it’s been featured in Hagerstown Magazine and I Love Farm Weddings blog. Love seeing past clients happy and smiling!
We didn’t have a ton of time for fun and formals after family pictures, but we made things happen as best we could. Special thanks to a super cooperative wedding party and bride and groom!
One of my favorite pictures from the day!
And now it’s time for all the details that Taylor and Alec put together for their big day!
Taylor shared a little secret with me…Alec stamped all the number cards for the tables! Gotta love a crafty groom! 🙂
Such a cute wishes table! Definitely one of the best spreads I’ve ever seen. 🙂
The appetizers were amazing!!! Taylor and Alec insisted I try one so I chose the brie cheese with apricot and almond spread and it was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted…seriously!!!
And now the party! Taylor and Alec had a great group of dancers at their wedding! The dance floor was constantly pumpin’!
This happened on accident and I LOVE IT!! Pretty cool, huh??
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
