get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
Tiffany and Jonathan may have been married on the coldest day of the season. I wore my jacket often and even opted for gloves while shooting outside. Tiffany had a fur coat and she and her maids had goosebumps often. But thankfully, the conditions didn’t affect our pictures. 🙂
These two didn’t mind the cold and made it clear that it wouldn’t keep them from taking as many pictures as we could. They were organized during the wedding day, they were calm and they trusted me. Such a combination makes for an awesome wedding day experience for JFP and results in some beautiful pictures…especially bride-groom portraits, as you’ll see soon!
When I think of Tiffany and Jonathan’s wedding, I think of the fun and formal portraits we captured during the sunset hour at Lakeview Resort. We hit a little bit of traffic in our route from ceremony to reception and I was so afraid we’d run out of daylight. But the timing couldn’t have been more perfect! It was cold, but the glow from the setting sun brought such warmth to the portraits. Warmth that I don’t get to photograph as much as I’d like because it adds such an extra special touch.
So a special thanks to Tiffany, Jonathan and their wedding party for making things happen well on the wedding day. And for standing in the freezing cold multiple times! 🙂
A gift from Jonathan…
A favorite earrings shot!
Tiffany and her maids got ready in a dance studio and finding good light with appropriate backdrops was a little tricky. Thankfully I found this small corner with window light and white walls…
Tiffany was so easy to photograph!
I told you Tiffany was easy to photograph!
Finishing touches finished, all ready to go!
My second shooter Kristin captured the one on the right. 🙂
Then we went to hang out with the guys and they were being, well, guys! 🙂
Then Jon received a gift from Tiffany…
I was told it was going to be BIG! Well, not that big in size, but a big deal! This guy loves to golf and this putter cost a pretty penny!
Needless to say Jon was shocked and excited!
Because Tiffany and Jon’s day was so well planned, and because everyone was ready on time, we had plenty of time for some fun and formals at the church before the ceremony…
Tiffany’s bouquet was BEAUTIFUL!
Another lovely shot from Kristin!
I think Jon enjoyed his groom portrait time way more than he would have expected! 🙂
30 minutes before the ceremony, I like to give my couples time to relax and freshen…and capture the moments in between…
Some sweet moments between Tiffany and her dad!
The two mamas waiting…
Great perspective from Kristin!
Tiffany requested a few pictures inside the church before heading out…
We worked FAST when we got to Lakeview! The traffic caused us to arrive later than we wanted so these fun and formals happened in about 15 minutes!
These two rocked their portraits! We did an engagement session earlier in the year so they had practice and felt comfortable doing everything I asked them to do! It really helped to keep things moving quickly during their fun and formals which was especially important since we were in a little time crunch!
Kristin captured the one on the right! So much glow!!
Jon, his wife and his new putter. 🙂
While I was getting this…
Kristin was getting this! I look like I was ready to fight combat with that get-up!
This umbrella matched their wedding colors perfectly! And the reception decor, as you’ll see soon…
Golf cookies for all their guests! Tiffany and Jon love to golf together, they got engaged on a golf course, had their engagement pictures taken on a golf course and Tiffany gifted Jon a golf club for their wedding! Such an appropriate added touch to the wedding day. 🙂
Tiffany and Jon started dancing slowly, but then surprised their guests with a coordinated ballroom dance! And they did an AWESOME job!
The flower girls are always first to the dance floor. 🙂
Jon danced with his mom for a few minutes…
And then invited his dad to step in!
Look at everyone’s reactions in this picture! Tiffany’s brother surprised everyone with this performance!
Time for the money dance!
Jon had quite the crowd blocking him from his bride…
But he got to her eventually! 🙂
Thanks for such an awesome wedding day experience you guys! I’d go through another wedding day with you in a heartbeat! I hope we’ll be taking more pictures together in the future. 🙂
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
