get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
Jade and CJ were married at the beautiful, wonderful Hayloft in Rockwood, PA. This is an especially neat post for me to share because like Elyse and Michael’s wedding the year before, I too was married at the Hayloft. Brian and I are actually celebrating ten years of marriage this summer, so looking back through Jade and CJ’s pictures reminded me of my own wedding day. But enough about that, let’s chat about Jade and CJ’s big day!
First fun fact, well, maybe second…I went to high school with CJ! So when Jade contacted me to photograph their wedding, I was extra excited! My photography has reunited me with many old friends and it’s such a special treat. CJ and I were able to hang out as old friends but also accomplish some missions at the same time. Getting married and document it beautifully. Boom! 🙂
Jade, it was lovely to meet you and your sweet little ones! Your little guy reminds me of my little guy and your little girl was a highlight of the photography reel. You and CJ put together such a beautiful day! Here’s to many more years of love and family, you guys!
The Hayloft does their own flowers! AND they always look beautiful!!
Jade’s dress has so much va-voom to it! My mom and I loved it, and Jade looked stunning in it!
The sweetest little flower girl moment… 🙂
On to some portraits! See, STUNNING!
Yellow! Such a perfect color for a summer wedding. 🙂
Big coat, little coat. 🙂
CJ dressing his little guy…
Oh my goodness look at that smile!
I love this circular ceremony set-up! Definitely one of my favorite ways for my couples to get married. 🙂
Dad’s tear…
My mom snuck this one in!
Another one from my mom!
I don’t remember the exact temperature, but it was HOT this day. Definitely somewhere in the 90s…maybe close to 100. Thank you to this wedding part for standing out in the sun on a hot day for pictures!
The Hayloft put in this new indoor ceremony space that sits in the bottom level of their barn. Bales of hay for seating, strings of lights, and even some church windows! Jade and CJ requested a few extra portraits in this space…
And now for the reception! The barn at The Hayloft always looks so beautiful!
I especially loved their mix of sparkle and rustic-ness. 🙂
The Hayloft uses their old piano for buffet set-up! So clever…
I also shared some of Jade and CJ’s wedding in my wedding color inspiration blog series. The yellow gets me every time! 🙂
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
