get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
Stephanie and Tucker were such gems to work with. From Stephanie’s detail-oriented emails, Tucker’s constant smile, their genuine friendliness and incredibly laid-back attitudes…they were awesome! And I was one happy photog. 🙂
They were married in downtown Pittsburgh in late September at the Pittsburgh Opera House. They shared a first look and only had a best man and maid of honor as their wedding party. They wanted to include various Pittsburgh locations in their pictures and Tucker drove my car around the city so this non-city girl wouldn’t have to navigate. They were blessed with warm, sunshine-y weather. The reception details were especially beautiful. Really, so many things to love about this wedding and this couple…and I’m so glad I was able to call them one of my 2015 couples. 🙂
Stephanie and Tucker’s invitations were beautiful! So glad she kept a set so we could photograph them on the wedding day!
New favorite ring shot!
So thankful for awesome window light and a calm, smile-y bride…
Stephanie told me she especially enjoyed Tucker’s getting ready pictures because that’s a part of the day she wasn’t able to see. Never thought about these moments as a “treat” for the bride, but what a sweet connection to make after the wedding day…
Tucker looked slick in his navy blue suit and bow tie!
Constant smiles, this guy! 🙂
Stephanie and Tucker held their first look along the river just outside the convention center…
We had some crowds to deal with, but still made things happen!
Love this moment. 🙂
A wedding party picture with the “famous” yellow bridges!
I visited this colorful wall fountain below the convention center just two weeks prior for another wedding! And as a lover of color, I didn’t mind. 🙂
After the convention center, we went to Mt. Washington for some pictures with this beautiful city view…
Captured by my second shooter, Kristin!
Thank goodness there wasn’t a lot of traffic. 🙂
This is where we took most of their engagement pictures!
This picture instantly became a portfolio favorite for me! So much classic, timelessness and mood… 🙂
I couldn’t wait to get inside and check out the Opera House! What a unique setting for a wedding!
I love me a good grandma (and grandpa, too!) picture!!!
So glad Kristin could capture the ceremony from the balcony!
A favorite for me. 🙂
Because Stephanie and Tucker shared a first look earlier in the day, we didn’t need to take any wedding party formals after the ceremony, and they could head right to their cocktail hour! Of course I had to snap just a couple more when I saw this brick wall and that beautiful natural light. 🙂Â
The ceremony space was transformed into the reception while guests enjoyed the cocktail hour…
Check out these centerpieces! Aren’t they beautiful!?! Stephanie hand-painted all those bottles and they looked wonderful! They also photographed quite nicely. 🙂
The colorful uplighting was such a nice touch!Â
Â
The gold, white and rose colors…ah! Such a lovely combination!
Another balcony shot from Kirstin!Â
And cupcakes to end the night, which is always a plus in my book! 🙂
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
