So what was the hardest thing about being both the photographer and a bridesmaid!?! Keeping track of all my stuff! Between my bridesmaid things, personal things and camera gear, I was a bit overwhelmed. I found myself running around like a chicken with its head cut off a few times, and despite forgetting one flash and my light stand in two different places at two different times during the day, my double duty was a success!
First, I must thank my second shooter, Jamie of Jamie D Photography. We “met” at a workshop in November and after reviewing her portfolio and reading through her blog posts, I knew she’d be the perfect person for the job! Jamie agreed to help me out so I was covered for both wedding party pictures and the ceremony. Jamie had no fear during her four hours with me. She respected my direction and style, but also kept her own creativity in mind. She also asked questions and wasn’t afraid to speak up when working with the group. We made a great team and she was a good decision. 🙂 Thanks a million, Jamie! I seriously, literally and physically couldn’t have done it without you!
I’ll be sharing Chris and Kelly’s wedding pictures later this week (as long as editing goes as planned), but in the meantime, I wanted to share these shots that Jamie captured of me pulling my double duty…

I have very few pictures of my in action and I never get to see what I look like while shooting, so I was pretty tickled with these. Thanks again, Jamie!

Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
