get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
Oh what a beautiful spring wedding Neeley and Chris has this past Saturday! It was gorgeous and warm the week leading up to their wedding and of course the weather was predicted to take a downhill slide on the big day. But Mother Nature pulled through and gave us lots of sunshine to compensate for the cooler temperatures. We had more than enough time to take all the pictures that we wanted and I left their celebration satisfied and grateful for such a wonderful day. Working with Neeley and Chris was easy. They put a high priority on their pictures, they trusted me and they made sure we enjoyed plenty of laughs along the way. What a great experience!
Here’s a LARGE chunk of my favorites from their most special day. ENJOY!
Neeley was photo-ready as soon as I arrived! 🙂
Pink Chuck Taylors! Yes, Neeley was an AWESOME bride!
Check out this cute shoe detail…
AH I just love the picture on the left! The combination of Neeley’s hair, the lace top and her beautiful face are just stunningly perfect for this pose!
Lots of bridal portraits coming up! I just couldn’t get enough of Neeley’s bridal beauty!!!
I probably could have photographed Neeley for another hour, but I needed to tend to the guys, too…
They were a barrel of laughs right away!
Chuck Taylors for the guys, too! And the odd ball with hot pink socks…ha! 🙂
I love a good wide-angle church shot!
Crowns and married!
LOVE this picture of the bridesmaids! Beautiful bunch on a beautiful day!
I told the guys to put together a man band album cover picture and this is what I got…after a little instruction, of course. 🙂
On the 7th hole at Lakeview Golf Course!
When a bride will sit on the ground for pictures, my day is made. 🙂
A wedding day favorite for me!
His and Hers shoes. So cute, right!?!
Now it’s time for some reception details! Photographing all these details (before guests arrived) was very important to Neeley and Chris because they put so much time and effort into their reception…
And then there was a mashed potato bar that I just couldn’t pass up!
Might be an all-time JFP fave right here…
Haha check out Neeley workin’ the dance floor with her guests. 🙂
Time for the traditional money dance…hankies and all!
After everyone has danced with the bride, it’s the groom’s duty to “rescue” his bride…but not without a fight…
Rescued, recovered and refreshed!
And back to the party!
Neeley and Chris, you guys are rock stars. I loved your wedding times a hundred and I’m so glad I was able to be a part of it. Thanks a million for trusting me and for giving me so much time with pictures! You two were so easy and so fun to work with! Thanks for a great experience and I hope to see you around town sometime. 🙂
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
