It all started with this photo…

 

Okay, maybe not exactly this photo because I was inspired way before I took it. But it’s what I envisioned when I initially became inspired by Maureen and her flower work and the small business that she started.

My friend, Maureen, smiling with flowers in hand in the golden evening sunlight. Her new business, Pocket Garden Blooms, the hard work, creativity and joy she’s pouring into it was and still is inspiring. I knew it all needed capturing.

She’s in her garden, she’s got her tools, she’s picking flowers and she’s about to go sit down and create a bouquet.

The person, the place, the process and the product.

The inspiration continued with Amy and her new small business, The Travel Mug. For her, it all started with the desire to have a coffee shop. Instead of going the brick and mortar route, she decided to go mobile.

She’s in her innovative barista space (among flowers at a local greenhouse + plant nursery because she’s mobile and can go almost anywhere), she’s making drinks and she’s ready to share her coffee goodness with our area.

Next up: Photographing The Parked Mug because Amy has a brick or mortar place now, too!

Also next up is photographing Joni and Lee of Liberated Libations. I’m inspired by the unique services and drinks they bring to bartending. Their small business offers bartending services for private events, the ability to create a bar in any space (think on the back deck, near the lake shoreline), and some very crafty cocktails! They may also start growing some of their own ingredients to include in those cocktails. Inspiring, right!? And worth capturing, too.

The three small businesses above are part of a personal project I started working on last year. The work they’re doing and what they’re creating for our area and for themselves, it’s very exciting and very note-worthy! I just felt the need to get in there and capture it…and as a result, they all will have a library of photos to use when promoting the goodness they’re doing and the businesses they’re growing.

Through both natural and controlled moments, we can capture the person, place, process and finished products of what you do/have to offer. You making in your space, your tools, the team, the food/drinks/items/services…all captured with intention, quality and hopefully some personality, too.

The end goal is to have a library FULL of photos that can be used for any kind of business purposes you see fit for years to come!

Package options include both per hour sessions and retainer projects. Per hour sessions are perfect for those needing photos once or twice. Retainers are for those needing multiple sessions adding up to more than eight hours.

I’m especially excited to offer the retainer because it’s like having a photographer on staff without having a photographer on staff. For 12, 18 or 24 months, we can work together on covering all photo needs…in multiple seasons, multiple places and of multiple products and services.

And of course with both, a phone consult is included so we can talk about what needs captured and how we’ll achieve that.
