Another engagement session in the beautiful Garrett County, MD here for ya! I’ve had so many of these this summer and it’s been so enjoyable. Not only do I get to work in my backyard (literally!), but I also get to show people the beautiful area that is Deep Creek Lake and Garrett County. I’ve found that not many people in the tri-state area of MD-PA-WV have traveled over these mountains so I love bringing clients here for their sessions. Many times I’ll start the session in my backyard. We have six acres of open (flat!) grass and friendly woods…and two cute kids that may come out that may come out to bother for a few minutes and share a smile. 🙂 But after that, it’s time to hit the road and explore! Deep Creek Lake is just five minutes from our house and it offers some of the prettiest photo locations I’ve ever photographed. Laura and Evan’s session began in the woods in my backyard and ended on top of Wisp Mountain at the lake. They seemed comfortable in front of the camera immediately and didn’t mind snuggling. Another beautiful Garrett County session to add to the list of many in 2015! 🙂
Pretty sure we took this within the first five minutes of shooting! I was impressed with their comfort and ease. 🙂

Another favorite! I whipped out my 135 2.0 lens for this session, which hasn’t been a norm for me recently. It’s got some good creaminess to it!

Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
