get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
It was finally time to meet Kristi and Brandon! I’m always excited (and sometimes nervous) to meet couples for the first time, especially when I’m going to almost immediately ask them to step in front of my camera and look awesome. 🙂 But this engagement session, one where I was “meeting the couple for the first time”, was a bit different.
Brandon and I are actually related, but we haven’t had any interaction in years…not since I last attended a Jones family reunion. You see, my great-grandma and his grandma are sisters, so that makes us some kind of cousin, but a couple times removed? I’m not exactly sure of our relational title, but nonetheless, we’re related. Our times together go way back to our toddler and elementary school years and now his wedding and my job have brought us back together. It’s crazy the reunions JFP creates!
Kristi and Brandon were lovely to work with. So friendly and so kind…and so great at the “model look”, which I think surprised all three of us! Never would I have expected some of the stunner looks these two gave me at the end of their session. You bet your bottom dollar we’ll be capturing those looks again on their big day next July. 🙂
They were being cute right from the start. 🙂 Also, I requested that Kristi stay in the coral shirt for the first segment of the session. Even though it was just her shirt for the ride to the park, I think it’s a great color on her and knew it would look great in pictures. Thanks for trusting me, Kristi!
And then we gave the “model look” a try after Brandon asked if they could not smile for a few. This series is just awesome!
The WV mountains at the Coopers Rock overlook were especially beautiful that evening!
Kristi absolutely, positively NAILED this! LOVE IT!
Lookin’ extra good, guys. 🙂
And a few more before we really lost the daylight…
Stupendous job, Kristi and Brandon! I’m pumped for the wedding day!
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
