Kathryn and her little family joined me in the “Fike Backyard/Woods” for my second “Mommy & Me” mini session…and goodness, was it magical! Their outfits, the colors, their interactions, the beautiful sunlight…I could have turned this “mini session” into an “hour+ session” in a hot minute! After their session, I was reminded again of how blessed I am as a photographer. I’ve got beautiful, wonderful clients and a photo-worthy backyard that makes a beautiful backdrop. I’ll definitely be bringing more folks out to our Garrett County, MD home for sessions in the future!

Oh, Kathryn. Isn’t she beautiful? Besides having super cute hair (she makes me want to go short!), she’s also a little regal with a calm, friendly demeanor, fashionable style and overall elegant look. In other words, she’s very easy to photograph! I had the pleasure of first photographing her on her wedding day in September 2012 (she wore a pink dress!) and was so excited to get her back in front of my camera. This time, it was with her daughter, Vivienne…

Don’t you see the magical-ness right away? Beautiful colors and warm, glowy light!

Vivienne was a little unsure about what we were doing. But don’t worry, we got some smiles out of her eventually!

Side note: This is a large clearing in the “friendly woods” that we own. We’re hoping to put together a fire pit area for future hang outs as a family and with friends. And it just so happens that it’s an awesome photo spot, too! I better make sure Brian leaves me enough space for pictures when he constructs that fire pit. Mental note! 🙂

Ah, so refreshingly beautiful, right!? Kathryn, thank you SO MUCH for asking me to do more pictures for you and your family. I loved having you in our backyard and hope to photograph you again soon! You’re a beautiful lady, inside and out. 🙂
