get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
Brianne and Mike are getting married today! It’s all happening at StoneBridge in Cumberland and I’ve heard SO MANY good things about the place! Brianne, Mike and I became good friends last September while driving around (for four hours 🙂 ) for their engagement session, and Brianne and I have been in frequent contact since then (she’s a planner and question-asker…I love that she wants to get it all right!)…so I’m excited to reunite with them again today!Â
We started their engagement session at the Casselman Bridge in Grantsville. We then ventured into the Spruce Forest Artisan Village. Before we left Grantsville, I treated them to some coffee from the Cornucopia Cafe because they have salted caramel creamer that needs to bottled up and sold to the public! (I just found out that they’re actually going to do this! 🙂 ) Our last stop was Deep Creek Lake State Park, one of my favorite spots for pictures in Garrett County! Of course there was a pretty photo op alongside the road before we actually got to the park, but thankfully Brianne and Mike were okay with an extra stop! Their vision was to capture the mountains, water and countryside of our county, and our four-hour adventure allowed us to capture exactly that…
Brianne wanted to include this glass rose from Mike…
A few favorites for me…
They’re good at this snuggling thing!Â
I’m pretty sure Brianne did not hesitate when I asked her if they’d get in the water. 🙂
We found flowers!
Mike is in the Army and stationed in North Carolina. We included some of his uniform in the session and it’ll also be a part of their wedding day today!
Just a nice little field along the road. 🙂
It was a windy and chilly day, especially by the water! But you know what!?! That’s okay because it’s going to be sunny and warm for their wedding day!!! YAY!!
There they go with that snuggling again!Â
A few on the beach before we ended…
Thanks for spending so much time with me back in September, guys! And for really caring about capturing some quality, meaningful engagement pictures! I’m so glad we were able to get to know each other that morning and I’m excited to capture so much more today!Â
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
