get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
Ally loves animals. Every time she sees a cat, dog, bird, horse, cow…she gets all excited and reacts with a high-pitched voice. It’s really quite cute to see her take an interest in animals and get all excited about something. She really is growing into a little person and it’s so much fun to watch. 🙂
Ally talked about visiting “the farm” every day last week. The cows, the horsies, the pigs, the ducks…she was so excited! We had so much fun at WVU’s farm during kids’ days last year that I couldn’t wait to take her again this year. Even though, at times, she seemed more concerned about holding McKenna’s hand, eating her banana and not staying with the group, she was still excited to see all the animals we had talked about, seen on TV and read about in books. She was way more aware of what things were on the farm this year and I cannot wait to see how she’ll react to it again in the future. I absolutely love that we’re able to do these things together…one of the perks of being a stay-at-home mommy. 🙂
Ally dove right in…to the corn, that is…
And here’s Ally from last year. It was chilly, she was shorter and had a lot less hair on her head. 🙂
Cows this year…
And cows last year…(oh man, I kinda miss her being this small and innocent 🙁 )
We were with friends from MOPS, so of course Ally recognized some familiar faces…Morgan, McKenna and baby Chloe!
How cute is this!?! I love seeing Ally make friends. 🙂
Ally didn’t get as close and personal with the goats this year as she did last year…
Ally couldn’t get enough of the baby chicks. I think she would have snuck one home in her pockets if her pockets were big enough!
Our friends Jonathan and Melissa enjoying the chicks. Jonathan is one of the cutest kids I’ve ever seen and I’ve already dubbed him as Ally’s first future boyfriend. 🙂
She did NOT want to leave the baby chicks.
Last year she could barely see into their “cage”…
And then it was on to the “duck show” for our final stop. Ally thought they were pretty entertaining, as did most people. How can you not smile at running, falling, quacking ducks??
This was Ally’s reaction to the ducks last year. Not sure what it means, but she wasn’t as thrilled…and definitely didn’t have as much hair on her head! My how she’s grown in a year…growing up too fast, that’s for sure!
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
