get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
This Deep Creek Lake engagement session took place last summer. The warmth and sunshine of these pictures have me longing for summer (which seems so far away considering we just had snow in April) because there’s just something about the lake atmosphere between Memorial Day and Labor Day. It’s relaxing yet active, and no matter what, it’s always ready for a good time. 🙂
Hannah and Chris frequent Deep Creek Lake to visit a family lake house. They enjoy visiting during the warm seasons, but the winter is what gets them really excited. With the house just steps from Wisp mountain, they enjoy hitting the slopes with family and friends during ski season, even if it means driving from Ohio to do so. Meeting them at the lake house and taking their engagement pictures with both the lake and Wisp mountain included was a great way to capture these two lovebirds.Â
AND they’re actually getting married this Saturday! Hannah and Chris, I’m so excited to reunite with you guys for your big day this weekend! I cannot wait to see what we’ll capture!
I had them get snuggly and close pretty early. 🙂
I think they were barefoot for half the session! #lakelife 🙂
And we quickly learned that Chris has a bit of a model face…
And they both just have awesome smiles. 🙂
You can tell when I said something funny…the smiles get just a little bit bigger!
The next series is such a favorite!
Check out Hannah’s beautiful ring!Â
After the lake house, we traveled up Wisp mountain to chase the golden hour light. I spotted this little patch of wildflowers along the road and Hannah and Chris easily agreed to give it a try!
Here we are just steps from the slopes…had to find that good light!
OOOHHHH I like this next series, too. They were getting more comfortable with the camera. 🙂
Oh just the sweetest!
YES, love this one!
Fun fact: Hannah, Chris and I all went to the same high school! I knew Chris’s brother and Hannah’s sister well, but never got to know these two. I love that my photography business reunites me with old friends and strengthens connections from my younger days. 🙂
A walk underneath the chairlift…a nod to their love for wintertime on the slopes. 🙂
And to end the session, sunset on the very top of Wisp mountain!
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
