get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
Clinton and his parents were my first official Garrett County clients! Well, at least for the time that we’ve been living here. 🙂 Our neighbors, who are related to this little family, purchased them a newborn session as a gift when we first moved. Last week, I was finally able to meet Jessica, Seth and their new addition…
Jessica and Seth live less than five minutes from us in Garrett County, so my “commute to work” was a pleasant one. When I walked into their home, I was greeted by their calm, sweet Golden Retriever, Jessica’s mom who was there to help and literal warmth of a lovely home (Jessica and Seth followed my newborn session tips on keeping the house extra warm very well!). Mom and dad did a great job of not only accommodating baby, but also me and my photog ideas! We had plenty of natural light and various photo spots to work with in their home and I think we put together a lovely collection in the end. Enjoy!
I love so much about this picture! Warm fire, family room, beautiful light…
Jessica and Seth have lots of quilts in their home (I wanted to take one home with me 🙂 )! They made wonderful “pops of color” and props during the session…
One of my favorites from the session!
Time for some sleepy portraits of baby Clinton…and more quilt action!
I love how you can see the hairs on his face and the smoothness of his skin in the next few…
Don’t worry, this was just a BIG yawn, not a loud cry!
My definite session favorites are up next!
I think Clinton is smiling at dad in this one! 🙂
A few moments to soothe as we finished the session. Clinton had had enough picture-taking for one day!
Thanks so much for such a great session, Jessica and Seth! And for inviting me into your lovely home with brand new Clinton. I enjoyed working with guys and getting to interact with a baby boy. I hope we’ll get together for more pictures in the future! Have fun during these super new times. 🙂
P.S. This was my last session before maternity leave and I think it was more than appropriate! A new baby boy just minutes from our new home in Garrett County…definitely got me more excited for the arrival of our little boy in our new home! Hopefully we’ll have baby news within the next couple of weeks! I’ll be sure to post details on the blog. 🙂
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
