get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
Shooting Casey Jo and Ryan’s wedding was a dream. Being at one of my favorite venues (The Barn at Fallingwater in Mill Run, PA) with tons of gorgeously unique and stylish details, AND photographing such a beautiful couple…seriously, a dream! I’m pretty sure I asked this question when I shared their engagement session in October…How did I get so lucky?
I remember when I first met Casey Jo and Ryan. I was immediately struck by Casey Jo’s beauty and contagious smile. She was hip, cool, friendly, beautiful…and she wanted ME to be her photographer. I’m pretty sure I felt like I wasn’t cool enough to work with she and fiancé Ryan. She was working in fashion and he was gearing up for another season in the minor leagues (baseball). If I had known how amazing their wedding would be during our meeting last spring, I definitely wouldn’t have believed I was cool enough to work with them…or that I could be SO lucky.
Casey Jo found me via Pinterest. She did a search for the Barn at Fallingwater and one of my images from my first wedding at the venue caught her eye. She eventually followed that pin and found me. (Oh wait, I was lucky!) Who would have thought that posting pictures on Pinterest would actually lead to one special bride finding me and booking me? I’m definitely glad that picture ended up on Pinterest and I am beyond glad that Casey Jo found it. Working with Casey Jo and Ryan was a dream…and so was their wedding. Prepare to be amazed…
Casey Jo made all the bridesmaids bouquets out of old fashion paper! Coolio!
How incredibly cute does Casey Jo look in this pre-bridal ensemble!?! She could have worn that all day and that would have been fine with me. 🙂
I love these moments of Casey Jo and her mom…
STUNNING! BEAUTIFUL! Just lovely, Casey Jo!
The picture on the left is a new bridal favorite for JFP!
The barn was so beautifully decorated, so we took advantage and got some stylish bridesmaids and bridal portraits before heading to the church…
Does she just light up this post or what!?!
This was an accidental portrait and I love it.
Can you see the glitter in the air??
I’m pretty sure these are the raddest bridesmaids outfits ever! I would never think to pair a chiffon maxi skirt with a white t-shirt! These girls pulled it off and it was so appropriate for the overall style of the wedding…
My second shooter Callie captured the portrait on the right…I LOVE IT!!!
A favorite from the wedding…Casey Jo and Ryan dubbed their wedding “Sparkly Romance” so this bracelet was mega appropriate!
Time to hang out with the boys at a cute little church in Ohiopyle…
Profile shot of Casey Jo’s bridal look…
See those flower petals? Casey Jo saved every flower that Ryan ever gave her and dried them up for use on their wedding day. How sweet is that??
I hate to rush during pictures, but we had to do it…the sun was setting shortly after 5pm and we had about 20 minutes to make fun and formal and family pictures happen! Not to mention I wanted to photograph these two ALL DAY because of how awesome they were in front of the camera. Definitely a challenge to cram so much beauty in such little time!
Casey Jo gets her cuteness from her parents. 🙂
So stinkin’ cute!!!
Good work on the model face, Ryan. 🙂
And now for the reception details. Prepare to be amazed…and probably blown away! One of the prettiest weddings I’ve ever seen! “Sparkly Romance” and all its glory…
Old sofas instead of chairs. So chic!
Casey Jo wore one of these shawls during the engagement session…
Casey Jo’s dad made six farm tables to place throughout the barn. I had been looking for a farm table for our new dining room, so when I saw these, I knew right away I had to inquire. Long story short – Casey Jo and Ryan left one for me to keep! I cannot wait to put it in our dining room! Thank you so much, Mr. and Mrs. R. 🙂
She wore these shoes all day long! Very impressive. 🙂
Wow, right? Wasn’t Casey Jo and Ryan’s big day stunningly unique!?! Like from a wedding storybook! I think this one will be a JFP for many years to come. 🙂 So thanks Mr. and Mrs. R…for being wonderful and putting together a wonderful affair! I thoroughly enjoyed photographing all the “Sparkly Romance” details AND the two of you. You are so cute and so beautiful together…I cannot wait to see what comes of your marriage! Please let me know when you need pictures again. It’ll be a fabulous reunion!
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!

This is a wonderful blog. I have never seen a more beautiful wedding reception. You captured every moment in your unique one-of-a-kind way. Every detail from the menu etched on the old window to the bow ties the fellas wore; it was all deserving of your photography to do it justice. Kudos once again. You are amazing Jessica.
Thanks so much for your kind words, Ella! Question out of curiosity…and marketing wondering…how did you find the post?? 🙂
