This girl is one reason why I decided to not completely forget about families, kids and seniors when it came to shooting portrait sessions. This past winter, I decided to take a temporary break from everything but weddings, engagements, maternity and newborn sessions. I wanted to find my niche and only do the things that I really enjoyed. But after turning away some people who didn’t fit into the four categories, I realized that what I really enjoyed doing was giving people beautiful pictures. I hated saying no and I hated hearing that Miss Callie was completely bummed when she found out I couldn’t do her senior portraits. Instead of leaving this girl and others without beautiful pictures, I decided to accept a limited number of families, kids and seniors and continue giving to anyone I was able.
I met Callie at the beautiful Ohiopyle State Park in Pennsylvania last week for her session. Because we were there on a weekday evening, things were slow and there weren’t a lot of other visitors. At times, it felt like we had the park to ourselves…so peaceful and quiet, and so incredibly beautiful! Callie’s parents actually found one my new favorite photo locations and I cannot wait to return to it…hopefully again this summer!
Thanks for having me, Miss Callie…you did wonderfully! Have fun this summer and good luck next year!

Callie and her mom also found this spot…another new favorite of mine, probably! Just a random field along a random road near Ohiopyle. The sunlight, the wildflowers, the nearby barn and the little white church were all perfect. 🙂

Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
