get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
What I might remember most from Angie and Scott’s wedding was the overwhelming amount of photo locations at their venue. A red barn, a pond, weeping willow trees, an old mansion, a pavilion and plenty of greenery…it was a photographer’s dream! Every beautiful venue rolled into one! And thankfully, to go with the wonderful venue, there was also good weather and an awesome couple. 🙂
I first met Angie and Scott at Mary and Tyler’s wedding reception last year (thanks for sharing my info with Angie, Mary!). We then did an engagement session last fall and I now consider them friends, not just clients. They’ve been friendly and excited throughout this entire process and that has made working with them so enjoyable and easy. Wedding photography was at the top of their priority list so we took full advantage of the Succop grounds and our time together. There’s lots of pictures to share for this one, folks! Enjoy. 🙂
I walked into the bridal suite and was impressed immediately. Angie had everything waiting for me, so my mom and I went to work while Angie finished up at the salon. It was nice to photograph her bridal details with no one else in the room…
Scott’s getting ready room was manly, sophisticated and so appropriate! It also had some great window light!
Because Angie and Scott’s getting ready suites were across the hall from each other, I could hop back and forth at anytime, even if just for a moment…like to capture this. I just love all the colors. 🙂
The guys were ready first, so we went outside to take care of their fun and formals ahead of time…
The “Flying V”…and yes, they started to quack! 🙂
Back inside with the girls and their finishing touches…
SO MANY awesome pictures of Angie getting her dress, jewelry and shoes on…
I almost always have my brides sit in a pretty chair next to some good light when they put their shoes on…it makes for some lovely bridal portraits.
A favorite for me! 🙂
A ceremony in front of a weeping willow tree!? So picture-perfect!
A few black and white portraits from my mom…
Scott’s reaction to Angie walking down the aisle. 🙂
The bridesmaids and their dresses and those flowers!? I couldn’t get enough!
Laughs during their vows. 🙂
Angie’s hot red lips ended up on Scott a few times that day. 😉
MARRIED!!!
 BIG wedding party!
And a group hug. 🙂
One of my favorite portraits of Angie. 🙂
LOVE bridesmaids that wear different dresses and brides that encourage each of her maids to buy their own dress. Angie gave them three color choices and this is what they came up with! LOVE IT!!!!
The bouquets were put together by bridesmaid and former JFP bride Mary. 🙂
They got married on July 3rd…American flags were appropriate.
Angie and Mary! I get to see these two ladies AGAIN next month for Julia and Rush’s wedding!
Angie picked out this spot for some bridal portraits and it was a good choice!
Angie warned me about all the wonderful decorations at the wedding. She said she put her heart and soul into making her day pretty…and it really paid off! Wonderful job, Angie. 🙂
Impressive cookie and pie table!
The guests admiring the “advice from 5th graders” display…
A closer look at the “advice”…
The pavilion looked beautiful!
Angie showing Scott his surprise groom’s cake…
He was excited for his favorite, Funfetti!
Angie and Scott wanted everyone to JUMP (literally) during their intro!
Angie had no problem jumping! 🙂
Angie wanted to take even more pictures before the sun went down and because the rain clouds were rolling in, we had to hurry!
Doesn’t this look like a scene from a southern plantation or something??
And then the geese swam by as Angie and Scott were doing this! PERFECT TIMING!
Tons of pictures later and still smiling. 🙂
And they were on the dance floor ALL NIGHT LONG!
One final smile from Mr. and Mrs. Harris. 🙂
Oh Angie and Scott, thanks for being you! For being friendly, for putting a high priority on pictures, for being fun and spunky, and for putting together such a beautiful wedding day. I am so glad I got to be a part of your big day and I cannot wait until we need to take pictures together again. 🙂
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
