A Wedding in a Stream

Have you ever seen my wedding in a stream photos!?

Well, they’re not MY wedding photos, but that of Tricia and Joe from 2017. But they’re in my repertoire of gosh darn inspiring and exciting weddings and it’s time to share them with the world again…
 


After the spring-like conditions we recently had and my sharing of some wedding warmth, it got me thinking about this wedding in a stream experience. Tricia and Joe got married IN a stream. Not next to or nearby, IN. They took off their shoes, walked through the water and found a level spot (in front of a big exposed rock for the officiant to stand on) where they could exchange vows.
 
I also took off my shoes (we had just walked a mile through the forest to get to the stream), put on my red rain boots and walked right into the stream with them.

This was at the center of their elopement getaway at Savage River Lodge. Bookended with walking the trails, first to find this stream, their wedding was also spent getting ready together in their cabin and then enjoying a meal prepared by SRL’s well-known, on-site restaurant.
 
What a treat, for them, for us (Jennifer, the officiant, and I). I will always remember this wedding in a stream…

Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!

We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos.
