get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
This was a special portrait session with a special mom and a special group of five kiddos. I’m temporarily concentrating on weddings, engagements, maternity and newborns only, but when the opportunity came up to give this mama a gift of pictures, I couldn’t pass it up!
Kim gets so many gold stars for so many reasons. Maybe one of the main reasons is her patience and happiness. Despite having five young kiddos and it being nap time, Kim and kids arrived almost 10 minutes early for their session. There were no major accidents and everyone was all smiles during the session. They all left with mud on their shoes and pants, but no one stressed about it…not even Kim (I would have been so bent out of shape about getting the car dirty! HA!). If you ask me, I’d say Kim has a lot of patience, and with that comes lots of happiness. During my time with them, it was clear that she is both patient and happy, and I think it’ll be clear to you as well as you scroll through these pictures of Kim and kids. I can definitely learn a lot from this mama…
One of my favorites from the session. So much love and happiness. 🙂
Everyone looking at the camera, all eyes open and almost all smiles! Yay!!!
Kim warned me that Elin was her little “spit fire” child…and she was right! That girl has so much energy!
Oh I just love the picture on the right. 🙂
And last, but not least…Miles! A boy among all these girls!
Kim, thank you so much for one of the easiest sessions in JFP history! Families with lots of kiddos sometimes intimidate me, but not yours. Everyone was so well-behaved and your whole group made me feel comfortable right away. Your happiness and constant smiles also helped make this session especially enjoyable. 🙂 You’ve got a great thing going and I wish you all the best in the near future!
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!

Great pictures! I also enjoyed watching the action. Kim is a great mom and the kids are all loving and good! I love being their Mimi!
Delightful pictures. I was smiling all the while with them. Nice and pleasant family.
They all look so very happy. This is one beautiful group of children with their lovely mamma.
I loved these pictures! They look so spontaneous and not “posed”. Beautiful girls and cute boy!
