get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
When a “bride” contacts me before she’s even engaged, I’m beyond flattered. Knowing that her photography is THAT important to her and that she’s THAT excited to start chatting with me so early in the game makes me feel extra special and excited in return. Talk about a pretty ideal client, right?
Allison is that. She’s an early planner that’s excited for her wedding photography, and after shooting she and fiance Bob during their engagement session, I confirmed that she IS an ideal client. Friendly, creative (she’s a graphic designer), detail-oriented, easy to photograph…and she wants me as her photographer. Yay! 🙂
After initially chatting with Allison on the phone about her August 2013 wedding, we accidentally ran into each other at the post office. Allison made me feel like a total rockstar when she approached me and asked “Are you Jessica Fike?” That’s never happened to me in public so I was flattered once again!
We had the most perfect fall evening for Allison and Bob’s engagement session. We met at the historic Friendship Hill in Point Marion, PA and found the most gorgeous sea of fall yellow leaves that I could have photographed forever! Friendship Hill is definitely becoming a favorite session location for me and Allison and Bob are definitely becoming one of my favorite couples. I’m super excited for their wedding at the West Overton Barn next year. Get ready to feast your eyes on this lovely session! 🙂
Favorites within the first 10 shots of the session!!!
Perfect fall gorgeousness! I’m kinda jealous that I didn’t get to have my picture taken here… 😉
Allison = easy to photograph!
Family of three. 🙂
A favorite series coming up right here!
Aaahhh the beautiful light!!!
True story…I sat on top of my car to get these next two. Bob coached me on how to sit so I wouldn’t dent the roof! HA!
Allison and Bob’s wedding colors are blue and pink!
These two are pretty cute…don’t ya think? 😉
A little Penn State action for Bob…
Aahhh great session, right?? Definitely one of my all-time faves! Thanks a million for contacting me, Allison. I am so flattered that you thought of me early on and I’m so glad to be part of your wedding team. I had a blast shooting you guys during the session and I can only imagine the amazing pictures we’re going to get on your big day next year! Awesome job, you two!!! 🙂
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
