get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
I never thought about counting the number of weddings I’ve done until one of my fave photographers, Jamie Delaine, announced her 100th wedding (so awesome, Jamie…CONGRATS!). So it got me thinking…how many have I done? Andrea and Josh’s wedding was #61 for JFP and at the end of this year I will have shot 67 weddings total! Not to pat myself on the back or anything, but in three years of business I’d say that’s a-ok. 😉
Andrea and Josh had a beautiful wedding and it was one of my favorites this season. I finally got to shoot more than just an engagement session at the Erickson Alumni Center at WVU and was very pleased with the venue overall. Of course it helps when you have a super nice couple with great taste! The classic black bridesmaid dresses paired with the pop of blue, the outdoor ceremony backlit by the setting sun, the delicious-smelling (and tasting) cupcakes, and the very active dance floor made for a wonderful affair!
One of the most beautiful bridal bouquets I’ve ever seen! It was so sturdy and firm, too!
Writing a note to her future hubs… 🙂
I was immediately comfortable when I saw the groomsmen were cowboy boot-wearin’ kind of guys. 🙂
Beautiful bride time! Andrea was pretty confident in her picture-taking skills. 🙂
Love this bridal portrait of Andrea!
The sun was due to set shortly after 7pm and the ceremony was at 6pm…perfect light!
I love this grandma shot. 🙂
A touching moment between granddaughter and grandma…so sweet!
Fun and formal time with the most gorgeous light!!!
You could smell the cupcake aroma just by standing near the cake table. It was divine! The Cupcakerie in Morgantown is where it’s at! 🙂
Not only did Andrea and Josh have delicious cupcakes, they had cannolis and tiramisu! They certainly treated their guests to some lovely sweets!
It is confirmed: The Erickson Alumni Center at WVU is a fine place for a wedding! I’m excited to return this November for another wedding!
CONGRATS Andrea and Josh! Your wedding was beautiful, you were lovely to work with and your desserts were DELISH! Thanks for taking a ton of pictures and for an all around wonderful time! 🙂
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
