get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
In keeping with my recent film theme and to continue showing my newest photography experiment/adventure (also see yesterday’s post!), I’m sharing some film pictures from Corinne and LJ‘s sessions. Like I’ve mentioned before, I don’t have a ton of film pictures from my sessions and weddings because it’s honestly too much for me to think about. Sometimes I even take my film camera with me and completely forget to use it! Ha! But I really am trying and am hoping to practice more throughout the busy fall season ahead.
First up, the lovely, mysterious, sultry Corinne! I really, really, REALLY wanted to use as much film as possible during her session, but because there was so much going on between her awesome clothes, mounds of jewelry, tons of photo spots, and Ally running around, I just didn’t have time to think about film, too! But I did snag a few…
Out of focus, but I like it. Also, showing my not-so-great stuff is a good thing! 🙂
And one of Ally…she LOVED trying on all of Corinne’s jewelry! And note: I do not take Ally with me to regular portrait sessions. This was a gift to Corinne and we shot during the day per my preference, so Ally was an ok exception to the norm.
And now for LJ! I’ve had so much good feedback from family and friends…everyone thinks he’s so cute! I bet there’s a lot more people out there that would agree, eh?? 😉
Not as on-point as I’d like, but I’m still practicing! 🙂
A favorite…both in film and digital form!
Thanks for sharing in my little film journey so far. I’m hoping I can get a little bit more serious with this and really discover whether or not I want to make it part of the business. It’s a strong idea for now, but am I ready to add such an element to the mix of things? I don’t want to overwhelm myself, but I do want to explore my creative wonders and keep growing for my clients! I’ll have more film to share from a September wedding and our recent trips next week!
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
