If it wasn’t for my friend Maria, I wouldn’t know these icicles existed.
Right next to Swallow Falls State Park and just minutes from Deep Creek Lake, there’s an unbelievable icicle world that grows on a narrow trail and only takes 5-10 minutes to get to.
Olivia and Rennie invited family and friends to join them for a Deep Creek wedding weekend but wanted their ceremony to be completely private. Just the two of them, their best friend officiating…and me, the third wheel photographer.
I checked to make sure the icicles were growing and suggested the location to them. AND THEY WERE UP FOR IT. Yes, awesome, LET’S GO!
The blue icy vibes fit their style perfectly. Fur, cloaks, gloves, and boots. Wait until you see Olivia’s face when she sees the icicles for the first time…

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos.
