SO MUCH JOY.
That’s what comes to mind when I think of Matt and Alex’s proposal at Swallow Falls State Park. After he popped the question, Alex could not stop smiling. She also just couldn’t not stop. They’d walk a little and she’d stop, throw her hands up, hug Matt, and just squeal and giggle. Like I said, SO MUCH JOY.
Just like my last proposal story, I didn’t have to hide for this one either. Matt chose the bottom of Muddy Creek Falls (the tallest waterfall at Swallow Falls State Park…and the tallest waterfall in Maryland) as his proposal spot and because of the “open” nature of the space, and no real good angle from any potential hiding spots, I was just out…pretending to be an innocent, random photographer.
Matt and Alex hopped out on the uncovered, large rock I picked out for them, putting them between me and the waterfall and BOOM. Mission accomplished. Waterfall, Matt, Alex, proposal and SO MUCH JOY all captured…

Her ring! It was Alex’s great-grandmother’s (I think I have that right, ha!)…BEAUTIFUL!
After our time of taking pictures in the forest, Matt had another surprise for Alex. He arranged for his parents and hers to meet them at Firewater Kitchen & Bar at the lake for a little celebration…

Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
