Ashley and Charlie’s Deep Creek wedding is happening this weekend! Time to share their fall engagement session because the next time you see on the blog, they’ll be all dressed up in their fancy wedding clothes. 🙂
These two love being outdoors so Swallow Falls was an easy choice for location #1 of their session. It was early November and COLD…like 20-some degrees cold! I couldn’t ask them to stand in those temperatures the whole time, especially when they were expecting some warmer-weather pictures. So I got creative and found an indoor solution for location #2: a lakefront home with big windows! Thanks to my friends at Taylor-Made Vacations and Sales, we were able to hide from the cold for a bit and take some glowy portraits on the shoreline.
Ashley and Charlie are so friendly and contagiously energetic. I so very much enjoyed my time with them!
We took this within a few minutes of the first shot. It’s a favorite!
And the sun came out! It makes such beautiful light coming through the trees…

Yep, it was cold.
Before we left Swallow Falls, we stopped at one of my favorite spots in the park, Tolliver Falls. Charlie was standing in cold water without water shoes for this one…
We were so thankful to be inside!
I brought them a gift to thank them for suffering through the cold and being flexible with locations…
We couldn’t stay inside too long with this lake view and that evening light!

Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
