get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
I told myself this wouldn’t happen. I told myself I wouldn’t let myself get behind in work this year, at least when it came to editing and sharing blog posts. Well, it’s December 1st and while I feel “on track” with my editing, I am definitely not “on track” with my blog posting. Here’s poor little Joel’s session from September 19th! AH! That was 2.5 months ago! How did I get this behind??
But it’s okay. My biggest priority has always been getting my clients their images in a timely manner and because I feel I’ve done that, the blog can take a little bit of a backseat for the time being. I’m trying to look at this way: in a few months when I’m on maternity leave with no pictures to edit, I’ll have plenty of blog material to share. ๐ย
So enjoy my little nephew, Joel, and his parents. And as a bonus, enjoyย my kiddos’ fall portraits, too! Happy December!
Joel was pretty darn happy in the first few minutes. ๐
Joel’s session made me realize how much I like black and white little boy portraits. ๐
Joel and his mama and daddy! Jason is Brian’s brother and they each have a son who very much resembles them. ๐
I see that face, Joel. ๐ย
So many sweet mama portraits!
A favorite for me! ๐
Time for some daddy portraits!ย
Another favorite. ๐
Yay! Pictures are done! ๐
And now for my Ally and Jack!
Uh oh, look at that pose! ๐
Love these next two of Ally! So animated and happy. ๐
I knew Jack would need something to do in the pictures. Asking an almost-two-year old to sit still and smile doesn’t really work. We had just gotten back from the library so I asked the kids to bring their books. These two love to read so including books was very appropriate. I may have bribed them with snacks, too. ๐
Ally taught Jack how to throw leaves…
And then daddy joined us and gave me some relief! Taking pictures of two young kids all by yourself is TOUGH!
Brother and sister! I think they look a lot alike here. ๐
And our big girl. She’ll be five in less than two weeks. Where does the time go!?!?
Ally in her LulaRoe dress. Perfect for twirling in the woods. ๐
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it moreโฆand plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
Iโm not sure Iโm starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesdayโฆ

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
