get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
Tasha and Brinton were married in the Deep Creek Lake area last summer. Brinton is originally from Western Maryland, but Tasha is from the midwest. After meeting Brinton in college and vacationing at the lake with he and his family, she fell in love with Deep Creek. It only seemed appropriate that they get married there.
They were married on a Monday at a vacation home at the lake. The home itself wasn’t built for events, but Tasha and Brinton made it work. They were married under a white tent in the backyard and held their dinner reception in the side yard. There was a DJ, buffet, cake and cupcakes, and yard games. Oh, and rain. It poured rain for almost an hour during the reception, so we all had to run inside for cover. But that didn’t stop Tasha, Brinton and their friends and family from enjoying the day. And thankfully, that rain came after we were done with pictures!
Another new favorite wedding trend of mine…a “small wedding.” Enjoy!
Tasha’s son patiently waited for his ring bearer debut. 🙂
Groomsmen being groomsmen!
Tasha’s flower girl tried on her bridal gown…
It got quite a reaction from the ladies!
Tasha and that dress…she looked so beautiful!
Such a favorite bridal portrait. 🙂
Ombre bridesmaid dresses!
Friends and family all helped put the reception area together before the ceremony…
Looking for his mom. 🙂
I love the next two pictures…look at the way Brinton looks at his NEW WIFE!
For the next 30 minutes, the sun went in and out…and in and out! It could not decide where it wanted to be! It made things challenging during the fun and formal pictures, but I’m happy with the result!
Some of the bridesmaids had to leave for their flight back to Missouri so we were missing a few…
Hahaha guys will be guys. 🙂
A bride-groom portrait favorite!!!
Fun fact: the next few came about because a guest had a requested a few pictures of the bride and groom…and she posed them! I took advantage and snapped away! 🙂
Some final portraits of the new Mr. and Mrs…
Thank you Tasha and Brinton, for allowing me to capture your wedding day…and your love for the lake! I loved how uniquely beautiful your wedding was and am so grateful you stayed calm during the rain storm. Let me know when you need more pictures at the lake! 🙂
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
