get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
Are you ready for a GORGEOUS bride, cowboy boots, shades of yellow and all the southern wedding details you could ever dream of!?! Well look no further because that’s all about to happen RIGHT HERE on the JFP blog!
Kaitlyn and Tyler had one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever seen. The day started at River’s Bend Ranch with a gorgeous dress, an even more gorgeous bride, and the calmest groom in JFP history. It continued with a field of cows and horses, blue skies with big white clouds, tons of yellow flowers and a lovely ceremony message. And THEN the day was topped off with details galore! Kaitlyn literally and seriously thought of EVERYTHING! From the yellow suspenders for her 7-week old nephew and the rosette-stitched table runners, to the custom corn hole boards and yellow and white stripe straws, every detail was presented to a T. Such details tend to overwhelm a photog (in a good way!), but things were kept balanced by the cool, calm and collected guests. Everyone was simply happy for Kaitlyn and Tyler and the two of them simply enjoyed.
And now it’s time for you to enjoy their beautiful wedding…
WARNING: This is a BIG post filled with LOTS of pictures!!!
I was hit with details before I even got to meet the bride and groom! I knew it was going to be a good day from here on out. 🙂
FABULOUS shoes, right!?!
Kaitlyn told me she was going to change into cowboy boots, which I loved! So I wore mine, too. 🙂
Colorful argyle isn’t typically Tyler’s style, but he had no problem sprucing up his wedding day attire at the request of the bride. 🙂
Ring bearer pillow and suspenders! Kaitlyn thought of everything!!
Gorgeous bride alert!!!
Check out mom in the picture on the right. I love catching moments like this!
First look! The field of cows and horses made a perfect backdrop.
The ceremony spot!!!!
Who would have ever thought to jazz up the unity candles?? Kaitlyn!!!
Grandmas. 🙂
The officiants gave such a great ceremony message.
It was a sunny, but cloudy day, so I was constantly challenged by the changing light. One minute the sun was in and the next it was out! Clear example below…
There he is! The 7-week old nephew with matching suspenders!!
Great groom portrait, Tyler!
And then the sun came out again!
Kaitlyn warned me there would be an old truck on-site for some pictures. I was pumped!!
Kaitlyn and her shoes. So photogenic! 🙂
And then Kaitlyn told me she had this banner. I told you…she thought of EVERYTHING!
Magazine-worthy, right?? I love Kaitlyn’s model look!
Yellow house on the ranch – thanks for matching the wedding colors!
Alrighty, y’all…time for the reception details!!! If you’ve ever seen wedding details and thought “Oh man, I wish I would have thought of that!” or “I wanna use that for my big day!”, I’m pretty sure all those details were at this wedding!
It took a lot of will power not to eat most of those marshmallows (I LOVE marshmallows and could eat a whole bag!).
Definitely one of the cutest cake toppers I’ve ever seen!
A little kids’ station. Once again, EVERYTHING!
Special tags for their mason jar drinks! No detail was overlooked, let me tell ya!
Oh goodness, Kaitlyn and Tyler…you guys completely outdid yourselves. I was beyond thrilled with your wedding and I know you guests were super impressed, too. You were both so calm and friendly, and when you add that to the beautiful day full of beautiful details, it was a photographer’s dream. Thanks a million for having me and I’m hoping to see your wedding published someday soon! 🙂
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
