get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
As of this morning, there’s snow in the forecast for Saturday. Really, already? It’s “snowed” here slightly over the past couple of weeks, but nothing substantial. I have a feeling that since this weekend will officially be November, this predicted snow could really stick. Literally.
But let’s not dwell on what is to come. Let’s celebrate the prettiness that we just enjoyed! The colorful leaves, the crispness of the still-warm-ish air, the pumpkins and the pumpkin patches. Here at JFP, we’re going to say “goodbye” to October and welcome a continued fall season with October anniversaries and the beautiful weddings that were just a year ago!
First up, Renae and Josh. These two are gems in the life of JFP. They invited me to travel with them for their destination wedding in the Bahamas last October and I still have to ask myself, “Did that really happen?” What an amazing opportunity these two gave me! It was such an honor to be there with them and their families, and it’s a wedding experience I’ll never forget. Happy first anniversary, Renae and Josh!
I was about 23 weeks pregnant with Jack during the trip! Had to take a baby bump selfie. 🙂
We couldn’t get over this backdrop! Blue skies, clear waters and white sand!? What a dream!!
They flew me to the Bahamas and got into the ocean for some bride-groom portraits!?! I told you they were gems. 🙂
Lindsay and Josh were married on October 11th of last year. The leaves were perfectly colorful and their day was FILLED with beautiful details! It did rain during the first part of their day, but we had plenty of “dry spots” for plenty of pictures! Happy first anniversary, Lindsay and Josh!
JFP’s cutest bridesmaids ever! Sock buns for everyone!!
When I think of Lindsay and Josh’s wedding day, I think of this exact picture…
Lindsay’s sister and good friend put together an amazing reception full of the most beautiful details!
Next up, Alicia and Chad! Their October 12th wedding was also filled with beautiful details! Their obvious love for each made this day easy and it was a joy to capture their excitement. Happy first anniversary, Alicia and Chad!
One of my favorite pictures ever! So much joy and excitement!!
And lastly, DeeDee and Ryan. I was so glad when these two found me! They not only gave me another October wedding (one of my favorite times of year to shoot!), but they also invited me to my first wedding at Chanteclaire Farm in Friendsville, MD (such a beautifully unique venue!). It was a rainy day that didn’t give us a ton of “dry time”, but that didn’t stop these two. They even stood in the rain for their ceremony and for pictures. Score! Happy first anniversary, DeeDee and Ryan!
Umbrellas were very necessary this day, but they made for some cute pictures. 🙂
So much love to celebrate! Thank you, October, for always being so beautiful. And thank you to my JFP couples from last October for including me! Happy anniversary, y’all!!! 🙂
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
