Danielle and Eric’s wedding was only my second in Garrett County, MD. Since we moved to Garrett County last fall, I’ve been hoping new local business would increase significantly, and quickly. With two kiddos and a new home to enjoy, I didn’t want to spend a ton of time traveling, or being away from home in general. I did one wedding in Garrett County last year and thought it would take a while to do more. But things have gone well so far! I’ve done a number of portrait sessions, have weddings booked in the area next year, and have already done two weddings in the area this summer! Danielle and Eric’s wedding was one of those.
They were married at the North Glade Inn in Swanton, very close to Deep Creek Lake. It’s one of the prettiest barns my mom and I have ever worked in (and we’ve worked in a lot of barns!) and cannot believe I didn’t know about it until Danielle and Eric booked with me last year. The grounds are beautiful! A big pond, big red barn, bed and breakfast, white fence, open grass…it really is a lovely venue and I highly recommend checking it out!
I think it’s safe to say it was a touch unseasonably warm for Garrett County on Danielle and Eric’s wedding day. It was early June, sunny and hot! Don’t get me wrong, it gets warm in Garrett County, but rarely is it HOT! I don’t think we’ve hit 85 degrees yet this summer! Anyways, the wonderful weather combined with the beauty of the grounds, and the beauty of the couple, made for an incredible wedding day…and a favorite for JFP so far this year. 🙂
The groomsmen wore bow ties, but didn’t know how to tie them. Thank goodness for YouTube!

We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!
