This is an event I’ve had “in the works” for a little while now. After the Blush & Blueberry Style Shoot went so well this past summer, I knew I had to continue down the road of teaching photography. I think I’d really enjoy putting together a large workshop…something that was a day long, took place at my house, covered all kinds of topics and included a mock session or style shoot. But I don’t want to get in over my head too quickly, so I’m going to try smaller workshop-type events first to test the waters and make sure a large workshop is doable.

So I’m inviting photography enthusiasts and small business owners, no matter your level of skill or experience, to join me in my house for a casual, relaxed, cozy evening by the fire. An evening to just get out and do something photography-related amidst all the holiday fluff and cold weather that maybe has been keeping your camera still on the shelf. Kick the “cabin fever”, if you will.  We’ll talk shooting, lighting, equipment, branding, marketing…whatever you want! You bring the questions and I’ll answer! It’s an open-forum type event with lots of freedom for the attendees to make the Q&A what they want it to be! We can talk basics or we can talk professional. Again, it’s whatever YOU the attendees want it to be! Here are the event details…

$30 per person, limit to 15 persons
Anyone that has any interest in photography or starting a small photography business is welcome! Whether you’re just starting out with your DSLR or have been in business for a handful of years, I invite you to come! There will be warm beverages and sweets…and of course, a fire!

My husband loves an evening outside by a fire with friends, so during his surprise 30th birthday party that I threw him a couple weeks ago, he and his buddies escaped out into the cold to enjoy the quiet..and a fire! I printed this picture for Brian and put it in a frame so he can remember the early good times at our new house. 🙂
